For one of my subject, the teacher asked me to show my skills in Adobe Illustrator software. He wanted me to create an experiment abstract artwork, using all of the possible tools in Illustrator. He gave me 3 weeks to do it. Such an open brief is more difficult than a static brief. With a strict brief we got limitations, it may sound bad, but it is very important in design, it narrows down the options.

With such an open brief with no limitations gave me broader field of inspirations. This piece end up with over 40 layers in illustrator, and the .AI file of it is about 50 MB. I named this one Dolphink.

Lame video about myself

During my 2nd year study, i had the most terrible brief for a project. I had to tell a story about MY LIFE, in a 2 minutes video. I know the topic gonna be super lame, i didnt enjoy my time when i was designing this. The lecturer expected me to do voice over in my videos.

Geez, its like hearing your own voice singing recorded in a telephone, cheesy lame. So i rang up my friend to do a voice over for me, kinda did the script. A friend of mine Karina (check her blog out!) has a fluent english and an excellent voice to do voice overs. It is a overnight work, i never like watching it.

Logo Design for Blackbird and Finch

I've been given a brief to make a logo and the stationary, of an Intellectual Law Firm. The company is called Blackbird and Finch. Apparently this company is owned by two persons. Mr.Blackbird and Mr.Finch (pretty funny for a surname right?). Anyway this company is located in Docklands, an elite office suburb in Melbourne.

Firstly i had no idea what an Intellectual Law Firm is, did some research what it is. I guess its just a cool way of saying a company full of lawyers.OK, fair enough to me. Funnily, the owners name are related to Birds. So to give the best solution for this company i came up with this idea of representing them as one bird, this one figure represent their unity as a joined owners that have the same aims and objectives. One bird for two men (LOL).

Well the point is i have to come up with a contemporary hip look of the logo.

Pro Motion Graphics

Lately I've been fascinated with this Design Studio Company named MK12 , those guys always been inspirational to me, many of my works are influenced by them. I know them since early 2008, but those guys are been around, since 2000ish. These people are the well known from their Motion Graphics video.

This after effects skill is kinda my thing. The videos usually are emphasizing on the typography layouts, shapes, audio, and graphics. And MK12 always good putting these elements together to make "jaw dropping" motion graphics, make sure you check them out. Visuals will say more than words.
